The Path
Delicate little redeemer take me to my solemn place
I'm hurting in the darkness
A field without care perhaps
I'll touch the sky one last time
scribe my name in the sacred book
as I alternate between happy and sad
then be done with my time here
If you look to the heavens
you will find me smiling there
A thousand stars will show the way home
as I let go of my mortality
I got lost upon a wishing tree
the path gnarled
some beautiful people greet me there
I will take imprints of their souls with me
Then climb the stairs into the celestial palace
saying goodbye to Earth
