Certainly, Wages

Translucence gone.
Encircling ether plummets.
The sky is fallen.
Palpable in the air, death.
Consuming, shrouding shadows.
Upon the ground, cast.
Haunting blindness.
Thick darkness, heavy burden.
Here, habitat.
To build to the heavens?
Struck down, pride scatters.
Dwelling in sin, penalty.
Bondage, decay.
Waiting for the sentence.
It searches, 6 feet under.
Slated stone, granite is hewn.
Graven glow, seeing dust.
The hue of dusk upon identity.
Collapsing reflection shatters.
Hard foundation of reality.
Imbalance gives way, tumbles.
My heart depicts.
Broken shard crimson assembles.
Like scarlet letters, the wound.
Pieces, fractals, fragile, piercing.
Twilight eyes see abyssal ode.
Unto skeletal shackles, bones below.
Depleted, entombed.
Certainly, wages.
