How far will you go

Do your best to stand out,
kill your dreams, put the flame out.
How far will you go to be unique?
How far will you go to be considered a freak?
If you have to die trying,
don't go being normal, nobody's buying.
Patch up your torn soul,
stand out, take back control.
That's what you want isn't it, to be different
to not be the same, to be magnificent
you'll do anything for Fortune and fame
to remain wild and untamed.
The simple life was never a choice you had
not when you want something so bad
you'll kill your soul and heart in the process
no need to worry about it, no need to stress
everyone wants you and your talents now
but you feel incomplete somehow.
Yes, make the deal with the devil, so cliché
nevermind the price you'll pay.
Stand out, don't fit in
just don't think about the coffin.
No end in sight for you, the party never stops
and the thrills are the tops,
when you're so different from others
killing yourself daily like the famous brothers
in this story so old,
all that glitters is gold
when you have the Midas touch.
When all you want is it all, the price isn't much
just remember while your out chasing,
when you're trying to keep racing,
the further you run from home,
the more time you'll waste alone.
