he was a conquerer  
       of oceans and big lakes.  
              he had all that it takes:  
                     titanic metaphor!
 
                            one day, when eve was red,  
                                   he swallowed half the lake—  
                                          more than his lungs could take.  
                                                 the pool became his bed.
