The Sun (Reprised)
You are not the sun.
I cower and hide from the sun,
Not from you, never from you.
You are not the moon.
The moon is miles away and
you are holding me carefully in your hands.
You are not darkness.
I see you, I know you,
Nothing is mysterious about you.
You are not the light.
Not pure, Not clean and unfiltered,
You have made mistakes and your hands have hurt.
I look at you like you are the sun and the moon,
Like you are here to save me.
I fall, you bandage my cuts and I look at you like
You are outside yourself.
But you are not.
You are inside of your body, and I am in my own.
You are human, you are not perfect.
And neither am I.
