ancient tongue

she speaks in the language of nature
the sacred tongue of the ancients
displaying unwavering vulnerability & truth
letting her heart be her guide
in silence she moves through his forest
her pulse echoing through the trees
her path taken deliberately
he always knows when she's near
tasting her delicate & her wild
kindred in spirit...they are
equal measures tempered & feral
he comes...
drawn to her rhythm & her scent
gentle in approach
nuzzling his way into her lap
unafraid she will attempt to restrain or attack
as one who understands...
...she would never
such untamable beauty is to be respected
and she honors his presence
with the most precious gift
unguarded above his muzzle
her naked throat
