The Last Good Knight

The battle was all uphill
His armor heavy and rusting
Yet valliently he fought on
To protect his majestic queen
Who deserved no less than a battle to the death
Her queendom stretched from horizon to horizon
Where blue skies met Black Knights at the edge of a blade
And the darkest nights lasted long past the stroke of midnight's toll
So many swords had pierced his heart yet never was he slain
But all the broken pieces could not be put back together again...
