One Wish

She's quite the full-size woman,
with curves like you’ve never seen,
a super model of sorts,
like in a plus-size magazine.

She's definitely a major attraction,
at the carnival, she can’t be missed,
all the people gather around her,
she'll grant them each one wish.

She has tattoos all over her body,
a silver ring running through her nose,
beautiful long blonde hair,
and a fishtail instead of toes.

I’ve never seen anyone like her,
her beauty is beyond compare.
If I could just get her to notice me,
maybe she would care.

But I’m not sure she would want,
anything to do with me.
I’m kind of tall and slender,
with elbows to my knees.

My ears are extremely large,
I’m disproportioned as you can see.
Who would really love,
a strange-looking guy like me.

I wander past her booth,
several times a day,
greeting all the customers,
I see her look my way.

It was the first time that our eyes met,
she asked me what my wish might be?
I wish for somebody, anybody,
to love a guy like me.

She smiled her beautiful smile,
and said, “Your wish has now come true.”
“You wished for someone like me.”
“and I just wished for a guy like you.”
