In my portmanteau's grim trinkets
of Crackpots Anonymous
and narcissistic goiter
macabre's little thingamabobs
of nightmares and gingersnaps
sucking on Melba toast
for my beddy-bye naps
laying me down to bed-speak
as the pox quadrille in my head
of dark's crick or creep
death doesn't know shit from Shinola
but my ding-a-ling do
of Crackpots Anonymous
