Imprisoned by Lies
An innocent man behind bars is free in his heart
Even when the law has failed him
While a guilty man will always be on the run
Whether he knows it or not
It will eat away at his soul
The same could be said for those who have fallen
Having believed lies
They will embrace it and live in it
And not for one single minute they will open their eyes
Reality is too harsh for some
It is a prison cast upon the hearts of many
Who think they know the truth and will fight for it
Unable to perceive the sinister designs with them in mind
They fail to see their malice
Their own inhumanity
Some realize it until it is too late
Others go to their deaths defending it
But many will not accept the truth
Building even more feral and irrational explanations
So that it fits their core beliefs
This confinement manifests itself in the form of hatred
And bigotry
In a panic and dread against an ever-changing world
Giving them even more fuel to be cruel
Putting chains around their hearts and souls
Imprisoned by lies
