the betrayel
One day, after school
I acted like a total fool
I told a friend I like to see
My blood flowing from me
He told a teacher
Who contacted the family preacher
Who talked to me
About a god, who "loves thee"
I told him to go away
But never did he sway
In his pursuit
To kick my devil with his boot
Seeing it was no use
He nearly blew a fuse
He told my mother
Who got beaten by my brother
So they sent my poor self
And took down my picture on the shelf
The sent me to an institution
And thought of it a solution
I saw the truth that day
Keeping the secret is the way
So I hid it all
Waiting for their fall
I acted like a total fool
I told a friend I like to see
My blood flowing from me
He told a teacher
Who contacted the family preacher
Who talked to me
About a god, who "loves thee"
I told him to go away
But never did he sway
In his pursuit
To kick my devil with his boot
Seeing it was no use
He nearly blew a fuse
He told my mother
Who got beaten by my brother
So they sent my poor self
And took down my picture on the shelf
The sent me to an institution
And thought of it a solution
I saw the truth that day
Keeping the secret is the way
So I hid it all
Waiting for their fall
