The Edge
If I were to die today
Would anybody care?
Would they finally notice me
Or would I get that familiar blank stare?
They think it's a game I play
The hurt I feel inside.
All the harsh and cutting works
The pain I can no longer hide.
As I stand here on the edge
Shouting one more cry for help
Would you leave me standing there
Or try to help save me from myself?
All I need is someone to listen
Somebody who cares to hear
what goes on inside my head
And to help me fight my fear.
So if I were to die today
Would you even care?
Would you finally notice me
Or would I get that familiar blank stare?
Would anybody care?
Would they finally notice me
Or would I get that familiar blank stare?
They think it's a game I play
The hurt I feel inside.
All the harsh and cutting works
The pain I can no longer hide.
As I stand here on the edge
Shouting one more cry for help
Would you leave me standing there
Or try to help save me from myself?
All I need is someone to listen
Somebody who cares to hear
what goes on inside my head
And to help me fight my fear.
So if I were to die today
Would you even care?
Would you finally notice me
Or would I get that familiar blank stare?
