Fountain Of Love: The Guest House of Love

She wanted to talk, to clear the air,
To tell him the things she couldn't bear,
But he kept shutting her down, with a frown,
And the silence between them grew profound.

The tension mounted, as they hailed a cab,
And climbed in, feeling like they'd been had,
The driver asked for their destination,
And he said, "A guest house, for a night's duration."

The miles passed by, in silence and pain,
As she thought about the words, she couldn't explain,
He seemed distant, lost in his own thoughts,
And she wondered if their love was all for naught.

The taxi pulled up, to a small guest house,
And he turned to her, with a serious grouse,
"This is where we'll stay for the night,
And we'll talk things out, until they're right."

She nodded, feeling the weight of his gaze,
And the uncertainty that seemed to amaze,
She followed him inside, to their room,
And wondered if their love could still bloom.

They sat down, facing each other,
Their hearts heavy, like a stone-cold boulder,
He took a deep breath, and finally spoke,
"Tell me what's on your mind, let's not provoke."

She looked at him, her eyes filled with tears,
And told him the things she'd kept inside for years,
He listened, with an open heart and mind,
And together, they left their doubts behind.

They talked and laughed, all through the night,
Until the dawn's first rays of light,
And in that small guest house, they found,
A love that would never again be bound.

For in that moment, they realized,
That love is more than just a compromise,
It's about listening, and being heard,
And understanding each other's every word.
