Death Train
Death Train By Erik O.
Death Train, death train, I welcome thee
Please toss me a rope, pull me out of this dark sea.
Into the blinding light and toward the great unknown
I want to travel farther than this place I dare call home.
Faster, faster, the wait proves highly tough
This eighty some year journey won’t be nearly quick enough
We’re waiting, and waiting but nothing comes to view
I anticipate escape from the bottom of Earth’s shoe.
They say knowledge is power but rather I not know
Just where this train will stop, and where we all must go
So I sit here at the station, the Earth so dull and plain
Are my intentions justified or have I gone insane?
It’s too late now, the train’s about to come
Second thoughts are useless when it’s all said and done
The train is finally here, as it was all along
The only question now, is how do I get on?
