Diwali Sky
That quarter moon at morning wane
Is glory to behold,
In pleasure, or in midnight pain,
Sky cured fresh by the gold
As if it were entablature
By Olympians in love,
With grace eternally secure
In a firmament above...
Mortality imperial...
So life may have a glimpse
At something magisterial,
Where motion never limps,
Enforced by gravitation law
The same as Galileo saw!
Is glory to behold,
In pleasure, or in midnight pain,
Sky cured fresh by the gold
As if it were entablature
By Olympians in love,
With grace eternally secure
In a firmament above...
Mortality imperial...
So life may have a glimpse
At something magisterial,
Where motion never limps,
Enforced by gravitation law
The same as Galileo saw!
