The Unexpected Life
The naked moon emits a bold seducing glow.
Bleeding light upon the black glistening sky.
The silent stars were aroused with spectacular shine.
Cradled in craters of my best moments.
Night eloquently falls and peace flourishes.
It no longer matters why.
A wolf's ached howl,
Inviting souls to banish slumber.
And emerge into the dark magic of elder summer
nights.
The mind sparkles with enchantment over the lightning bug's lingering flight.
Expect the unexpected life.
You can never predict what a day holds.
What might spontaneously unfold.
The unplanned is where the memory is most ripe.
