Love your Lord God with all your heart!

WHY  
Is this a command, so I must do as I m told  
or is this a gift ,that I can speak of, so bold  
How would I do this, what would I say  
'why do I love Him', if i'm judged today?  
Loving my Lord with all of my heart  
it may sound funny, but where do I start  
With all due diligence, should I just follow this rule  
kicking and screaming like some stubborn old mule  
Does a mother say to her child, 'I will try to love you'  
then hope over time, this may come true?  
No, her caring and kindness, are a natural love  
as mercy and grace are from God up above  
So, He first loved me? Before I loved myself  
Then please Holy Spirit, I need your help.  
   
HOW  
To publicly proclaim this, "I love God with my all"  
I will not deny Him, For this I stand tall  
This is not a suggestion, to pick or to choose  
He loved me first, sometimes that, I confuse  
No matter how often the story be told  
His death on the cross, even 'He' had foretold  
The bread was His body, the wine was His blood  
then His spirit came upon us, like waters they flood  
   
WHAT  
Then what? my sins are forgiven, How can this be?  
Obedience to Jesus, opens my eyes, now I see  
There are always non believers, they scoff at redemption  
denying His life/death, and glorious resurrection  
But Gods not an option! YOU chose, deny or believe  
the enemies plan, to confuse and deceive  
You did not create Him, He created you  
His wrath is His law, do not misconstrue  
   
WHEN  
Now is the time, please lord Jesus forgive me  
Please Holy Spirit always be with me  
Then, we die only once, an appointment at hand  
before our Lord Jesus at His throne we will stand  
   
WHO  
Yes, now it gets real, in the blink of an eye  
standing before the one, who is Holy most high  
Now a penalty be paid for all of my sin  
There is no way to lie, about all that i've been  
He is the way, the truth and the light  
Jesus, our savior, has paid for our price  
   
Where  
Now no condemnation, my sins were erased  
Eternity the time, Heaven the place
