Image for the poem Dimples

Dimples

Bury me, as I idle while pushing up the daisies
deep down in rotation between the shovel
in a lawn chair on a Country Club's fairway
and my maddening milieu on a golf course hole,
par four, sucking the grass with cricket up my ass
waiting for the rain to pass on Doppler Radar
counting dimples on a golf ball that God didn't make.
