Lisbeth

Shag rugs and velvet curtains
Red candles dripping down
The black furniture

Not unlike you to say yes
Content with time spent
Spent contorted and twisted

He's always gone when you're here
I never seem properly prepared
Deep in the belief you're the prey

Change again and show faces they never see
I never know who you are
And still you smile so precisely

Never hungry, but always wanting a bite
You kiss with a hunger
Others would shy from, spare the pain

Teeth like a wolf
Soft as a lamb
Who's the one
to devour?

The demons you hide

Am I the hunter
Or the hunted?

Author's Note
I'm a huge fan of "The Girl..." series, started by Stieg Larsson. I was in a mood for some Lisbeth vibes.
