Where is God when the famine takes our lives,
When all we have left is the bleak, black skies,
From polluting ourselves to just inexist,
And all of our problems end up dismissed.

Where is God when the wars break out,
Thousands of men killed for doubt.
Killed on the battlefield to end some dispute,
And the government tell them to shoot, shoot, shoot.

Where is God when the massacres start,
Hundreds of families being ripped apart,
Lose a mother, a father, a daughter or a son,
To a knife, a grenade or maybe a gun.

Where is God when the hospitals shut down,
When the NHS can’t provide a nightgown.
Where people lie down and they’re told their to die,
Without their families getting to say goodbye.

Where is God when women are abused,
When the colour of your skin makes you accused,
When the only thing you have left starts to fade
For you cannot change the way you were made.

Where is God when we need him the most
Seems as if he is just a ghost.
A myth, a story or a fairy tale,
Makes me wonder..

What does the future REALLY entail?
