Fading Embrace

Beneath the moon's cold, haunting gaze,
A love once vibrant, now ablaze.
Between robust thighs, passion's pyre,
Now turned to ash, no more desire.

Her Creole heart, once loved so true,
Now mourns the loss of love they knew.
Unsnapped lace, a faded token,
Desire's spark forever broken.

In sorrow's grip, their spirits weep,
As shadows cast, their secrets keep.
His strong embrace, now lost and cold,
No more the shelter for her soul.

Grapes of rapture, turned to gall,
In love's demise, they stand in thrall.
No whispers left, no vows to mend,
Just shattered dreams that cannot blend.

Their essence lost, like fleeting breath,
The dance of love embraced by death.
Two souls entwined, now torn apart,
In the bitter end, they both depart.
