Thoughts of you linger like
Lipstick traces on my mind
Your scent real
Alive
Though your not here
Yet you are
You've captured my heart
I think I'll bring you wildflowers
Stems wrapped in paper
Enclosing a poem
Dreaming words
The whisper of your presence inspires
Simple things
These
The foolishness of me
Perhaps
But I want to fall harder for you
Than I've fallen before
Or will again
Let this love be my last
I want you to be my life song
My lover and best friend
To see sunset and sunrise
And the stars of heaven anew
To say I love you in the living
As well cherished words
To bear the hard things together
And mingle laughter in our joy
You're so beautiful to me
Isn't this the way love's supposed to be
Lipstick traces on my mind
Your scent real
Alive
Though your not here
Yet you are
You've captured my heart
I think I'll bring you wildflowers
Stems wrapped in paper
Enclosing a poem
Dreaming words
The whisper of your presence inspires
Simple things
These
The foolishness of me
Perhaps
But I want to fall harder for you
Than I've fallen before
Or will again
Let this love be my last
I want you to be my life song
My lover and best friend
To see sunset and sunrise
And the stars of heaven anew
To say I love you in the living
As well cherished words
To bear the hard things together
And mingle laughter in our joy
You're so beautiful to me
Isn't this the way love's supposed to be
