Rational

Some have the blessing of being insane
To escape a world of continuous pain
There's a very thin line between insanity
And the world known to most as reality

How can the line be measured
Use time in the architecture
Because time is the enemy
To everything except insanity

Not having to worry about worldly treasures
Or life's conflicting pressures
Things only time and death can end
Insanity makes the rules bend

I've often wondered why you're always smiling
Is it because of something you're hiding
Maybe the answer to questions that escape me
You're finding amusement in my not discovering their simplicity

Maybe you're always happy
Because you've been blessed and know your destiny
I've once considered insanity as a descrambling state
Between reincarnations, a period to forget your fate

But I think only you know for sure
And what better way to lock something away than open the door
I've heard the terms raving lunatic, stone mad
But anything that's not understood is labeled bad

You do have some that can't control situations
But love is the only thing needed for persuasion
I think jealousy maybe some people's motive
For the bad treatment and cold stares you've noticed

But even after receiving stares that burn
You only smile with apology when it's your turn
Only displaying what little you've been taught
If you've learned any more, you haven't been caught

I now see you living in a world unseen by others
Filled with laughter, music, and colors
In some are the world's greatest minds
Trapped in their own world behind the line
