Dear Tree

There you stand so bold, so tall,
I feel next to you ever so small.
The things you’ve seen throughout your years,
I could only imagine humans would fear.
You taken the bashing of the wind and the rain,
Yet you continue to grow without any pain.
Each season you change in magnificent ways,
Though you are wiser and older beyond your days.
Communications you seek to your fellow tree’s,
Through mushrooms connectors below the leaves.
Oh wise tall tree, what can you say,
“Let go of it all and enjoy the day.
For there is no reason to fear,
We all have a purpose, that’s a fact my dear.
We have a purpose from heaven above,
To provide humanity with oxygen and love.
We many tree’s have lived for so long,
But humanity comes and clears them gone.
Only a few of us left and we want to stay,
To live in harmony for that we pray.
I thank you human for taking the time,
To appreciate the beauty for all mankind.”
