Limerence

Does this only live in my fantasies?
The connection and intensity.
The healing I feel from your presence.
Is it only limerence?
A twisted way to soothe my pained existence.

Am I obsessed with the reflections?
And not in the moment for interactions.
Are the memories better than the experience?
Is it only limerence?
A means for me to build up resistance.

Do you not feel it too?
Did I not make you feel desired, appreciated and seen?
I saw you as a God but did you not see me as a Queen?
Something inside me refuses to believe
That this was one sided and you’ll really leave

Am I a slave to romantic decadence?
Is it only limerence?
Or do you simply want to prove your persistence?
