Sky Clad
“...second sight. That gift of vision includes not only power to see distant or future events,
but the viewless forms of air.” - Robert Lang
Tis said that Myrrdin lived his life backwards
And what is backwards
The opposite of what you know to be right
Or, not in prophetic foretellings
But seeing after, manifestations of second sight
***
To see you sky clad 'neath summer stars
Skin illumed by the rising moon
New and full, it's danse summons you
Where fires blaze between set stones
*
We two
Boaz and Jachin
Day and night, dark and light
Witnesses, travellers, servants, outsiders
Nether enders
Book ends of the tale we tell
Framing
Patriarch, crone, woman, and maid
All things in story encompassing
Yet darkness (the absence of light)
And the maid - aether, quintessence
The void - set apart
With us and yet without, remained
Of the story but not in the heart
*
“And the earth was without form,
and void;
and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
“And God said, Let there be light:
and there was light.”
Yet there's always been a foundation stone
The Benben stone
Where land arose
The well of souls
All of which tells a story
An allegory
*
The Major Arcana
Spirit by darkness hidden
Represents
The archetypes of luck
Emotion, and fate
The will of the Gods
*
Earth, wind, fire, and water
Of these four elements combined
That the spirit might give life
The physical realm is defined
Earth and fire, crone and patriarch
Midnight and winter
Noon and summer
Polar opposites, north and south
Strength and energy
Foundation and power
Fortress and will
Serenity of being
The action-oriented part of the creation
Air and water, the Woman and man
Far as the east is from the west
Spring, the sunrise of new beginnings
The waxing moon
Autumn, and wisdom of coming endings
Moon's waning, sun's setting
Venus and Mars
Sky blue your eyes
You wore the color of my stone
Aquamarine
Water's three states
Solid, liquid, and gas
The feelings and flow
My undine must die to embrace the sylph
I, liquid to gas must change by fire
That water and air might embrace
Pierced by the suit of swords
Transformed by the suit of wands
The sacrament of the suit of cups
You my prayer
Pentacles placed within the triangle of evocation
but the viewless forms of air.” - Robert Lang
