Stranger in an Old Photo
We are all so young
gone our separate ways
courting failure and success
in search of fortune or fame
fearing the worst
and hoping the best would come
Faded in my hand
the invincible smiles
bold certainty of days
to capture our dreams
the petals of a flower
at last betrayed by the sun
Every storm sees its end
but the wind of change
leaves no way back
and the murder never stops
So I tell myself
adapt or die
let the future strangle memories
knowing nothing
kills the clock
gone our separate ways
courting failure and success
in search of fortune or fame
fearing the worst
and hoping the best would come
Faded in my hand
the invincible smiles
bold certainty of days
to capture our dreams
the petals of a flower
at last betrayed by the sun
Every storm sees its end
but the wind of change
leaves no way back
and the murder never stops
So I tell myself
adapt or die
let the future strangle memories
knowing nothing
kills the clock
