A Moment of Peace

I step out into this precarious world
with my ultraviolet soul.
Birds with beating wings
take off for enchanted unknowns.
The luscious leaves are swaying drunk
with breeze.
Magically puts my tormented thoughts at ease.
Leaves flap and bob possessing whispers
of nostalgia and inevitabilities.
The simple joy of the day holds
ineludible agonies at bay.  
Allows stifled fragments of my mind
to soar the sky and fly away.
