I Forgive You - 12/17/2019

I forgive you-    
     
I forgive you for expecting that
You would see      
All I am becoming in my life    
     
No matter how many times    
I have seemingly failed in your eyes    
I have learned and came so far    
     
You, on the other hand    
You have taught me all      
In which I choose not to be    
     
You have continously shown me hatred and selfish thoughts    
     
Reflecting the past continously    
You never have seen and felt the here and now    
     
May I strive better to see my present reality daily    
Learning how to now handle and acknowledge my own new growth and progress alone.

I thank you-    
     
I thank you for trying to love me    
In ways which I cannot grasp or understand    
     
I thank you for showing me all the ways    
In which I do not want to raise up MY children    
     
I want you to know    
You are not a failure    
Nor a success-    
     
You are completely and utterly human-    
And we are together, one body    
     
You are just the balance    
On the other side of my spectrum    
     
Without the love of my Creator    
I would never realize and embrace    
Our similarities and differences.
