THE SMILE OF A STRANGER (INSPIRED BY NIZANA POEM)

The smile of a stranger
made me wonder: "Danger?"
when his smile I returned
as my hot desires burned.

Was I being too free
with my territory?
What hurt was I taking
for chance of 'lovemaking'?

He passed on his way
with breezy "Good day!"
and to my relief
as if dodged a thief.

Author's Note
The first two verses were a rhyming comment I made on Nizana's poem, rediscovered on a reread of it today and which had scored a Like (from her I assume). I added my own ending verse to give a note of narrow escape from danger. Whatever the real life outcome of the incident described she lived to tell that tale and many more after..
