The Physical Reality behind the Metaphysical Rot

But tiny quantum force bits pushing quantum matter bits
arranging countless neural combinations in the brain
engender consciousness until the lobes all call it quits
and die, too often slowly, in a pattern known as "pain" --
the "I" of consciousness a quantum sequence and a trick,
a mere illusion (such as changing water into wine)
full gagged and bound before a kind of photoplay or flick,
observing on the screen an actor act or speak a line --
yet not a line in Spanish if the "I" no Spanish knows,
the bits not able to effect the needed neural shapes,
while bits that fail to name the lover likened to a rose
should instantly exchange their neural network for an ape's --
plus if some "I" a realist pens verses true with wit,
each "I" of rhymes romanticist need cut the mystic shit.
