Unfurl, Unwind, Untwirl, Unbind

Unfurl, unwind, untwirl, unbind
Coiled like a waiting snake, hidden like your past mistakes
Manic screams and putrid thoughts
Tamped down rage tied up in knots
Take the scissors, cut and pull
Tear out the roots woven thick through your soul
Poison wound tight like a spool of thread
Spills from your throat, colored red
It hurt like hell, the time it took to remove
Years went by yet it seemed it only grew
Now it's ripped out, squirming pathetically on the floor
And you don't see a reason to be afraid anymore
A spool of pain, a never ending thread
Is finally cut off from its life source, your very own head.
A pool of blood, a tumor ripped from your chest
Placed in a box and lain to rest
Unfurl, unwind, untwirl, unbind
Crumpled like a fallen snake, forgiven are your past mistakes
