this Cafe
This Cafe has sucked the breath from my lungs
Drained every last drop of manhood from me
The stains on my lips only appear to be coffee
And assumptions fill in the portrait with the wrong color paint
But make no mistake, you were the cream that tamed my bite
That tarnished my verse and blackened this knight
The hollow kettle echoes the empty words that I write
No longer the poetry you once inspired in my heart
As your face shatters in fragments as my dreams fall apart
What happened to the spirits who used to rattle these walls?
Where vision had guts and voices had balls
This just ain't the same place now that your gone
Now all I can do is put in my buds and replay the same old sad song
