The freedom of the masses

There is a small country up north as there was an economic
a downturn in the thirties; the army was a battalion strong

The war ended; people were jubilant until hard times struck
there was no work for anyone until the merchant fleet was set
free from the British needs, to be able to trade freely.

Today the country is rich, oil was discovered life changed
health was good in war years when food was just enough
no one suffered from tooth rot and obesity.
