Forever
Noon. The city is a burning hive. The man in gray walks briskly. The crowd ignores him, he ignores the crowd. Sweat drips down his face but he doesn't care. Take the secondary road and reach the abandoned building. Enter. Say the password aloud. After a few seconds, a man in black emerges from behind a pillar. He holds a revolver aimed at the man in gray and slowly approaches him. He searches him from head to toe. He backs away, still keeping the man in gray at gunpoint. He wants the money. The one in gray gives it to him. The deal is done. The man in black offers a chair and a bottle to the other, who sits down and takes a shot. He downs another, then another. Forgive me. The man in black raises his revolver. I don't have the courage and the air has been cyanide for too long. I must go. Lightning rips open the gray man's head. The angels sing and the soul floats in a blue and fresh universe. Forever.
