Summer Solace for the Never Forgotten and Tomorrow
swallowsoft summer breeze
down to the sea-lanes
sea-drowns, down-stream
bone-beaks break sunset from rock
soundmind lost in hill shimmer
silver-spinning discs cut radial roar
luminescent-lust laminates the landscape
upon a time, once memories were electric cells
upper story closes (around circular tale)
mumble of memories mirk the lightside
ribbed violin strings - unbowed - stir silence into action
two bodies become a small-town universe
fresh from chrysalis womb
butterfly foregoes fluttering
locks on petal - transforms to a leaf
rainshiver will arrive - always to arrive
under eyesight mines coalesce – hearts drill tremble
the lighthouse doesn’t warn, tenderly it searches….

I like how you experiment with different types of writing, I tend to have a few modus operandi within the medium, but more how you maintain a genuine voice.
I love the image of sunset breaking from rock. The fourth stanza is wonderful in particular to me. However, the fifth stanza holds the most alchemical transformation, it comes to life.
The close has amazing presence. There's so much to admire in the whole, as I consider it.

Many thanks my friend. Once belonged to a now defunct English-Welsh site, which introduced me to a glut of fragmented voices. Tried to replicate here. There is a certain melancholia to Cymru. Must be all the slate and coal mines.

The author’s note suddenly made this one make sense. The alliterative quality isn’t my favourite thing you’ve ever done, as it all tends to feel a bit mush-mouthed and meaningless to me, but nuggets of your lush and memorable imagery shine through. The “two bodies” and last line are magnificent, and would make a great couplet:

the lighthouse doesn’t warn, tenderly it searches…”
