The Princess and the Poet
Tell me now or I'll kill you
the princess screamed
curious and curiouser
she hovered like a bee
My sprig of thyme
sensing questions
to etch my heart
on eager patterned wings
Sad mysteries
knew all I owned was tears
and she would steal them
so blatantly
My past betrayed poor virtue
when open arms and truth
had turned their back on me
Her school of reason
enriching dreams
our future love might bring
turning poetry to porn
with the push of an empty swing
