Dance, Girl, Dance

Twisting smoke
Moving like sex in a dream

Somewhere,
Rain falls as Elvis tears
Shaking skies fall…closer to water

Beachcomber hair
Ruffles strands of the valleys
Stealing granite hearts

Winter bone
Snaps pace of white-strobe lights
Metronome pulsing uncontrollable

Take my hand,
As a branch shadowing a leaf
Along wrists of ballerina glass,
Dance until breaths are broken

Finding little bits of you in feathers
Betwixt spiralling Flamenco dancer,
Casting nets o’er one-string guitars,
Feet which have shuffled alone
Suddenly, become four shoes.

Smoking twists
Moving like dreams in sex
