First Television 1953

A wooden box with a test pattern
Coors beer, church keys,
Eisenhower on the side
Nixon in future attractions
B-movies which film by film
Became predictable
And we no longer
Held our breath
The calvary morphed into
The cavalry
And innocence was consumed
Like popcorn
Three days old.
