Flute Lips - By Nizana's Daughter

The breath of music passed through these lips
when I was a child. I still love the flute but sometimes
play a different pipe whose music is still as sweet.

Do you feel the air that has sustained my life for twenty-four years?
Let it touch you as spirits from my past remembering their melodies.

These flute lips from my childhood now blow playfully
but can hover no longer. Feel their juicy fever as
separate lives join in a sacred kiss.

Author's Note
I loved playing flute as a child and sometimes used the same technique when blowing air for pleasure.
