Waiting
Porcelain sculptures
line the walls
People in vain
Wait in the halls
Saltwater streams
flowing secretly down faces
quickly swept away
leaving no traces
The little sculptures
painted with smiles, make-up
Remind me of those in the hall
The unwanted space they take up
Their smiles aren't true
obviously a show
physically nor emotionally
They never grow
Who are they
those in the corridor
They are the waiting ones
But waiting, what for?
fate
they try and act pleased
to get a good ending
no feelings released
Some will find a door
find reality and truth
Actually live, oh but wait
In the halls, they've wasted their youth
line the walls
People in vain
Wait in the halls
Saltwater streams
flowing secretly down faces
quickly swept away
leaving no traces
The little sculptures
painted with smiles, make-up
Remind me of those in the hall
The unwanted space they take up
Their smiles aren't true
obviously a show
physically nor emotionally
They never grow
Who are they
those in the corridor
They are the waiting ones
But waiting, what for?
fate
they try and act pleased
to get a good ending
no feelings released
Some will find a door
find reality and truth
Actually live, oh but wait
In the halls, they've wasted their youth
