But they found us and they took you away

Her friend cut her belly button out

Remember when you were with Angie?
And I switched your shampoo with ketchup
It was April Fools day right?
And we laughed till we cried

Then one day mommy moved me far away
You stopped signing cards
And calling to check in
The promised visits turned to ripped calendars in all the tears

I miss my daddy
The one that taught me to kill giant monsters in Lord of the Rings
The one that sat me on his shoulders during fireworks
The one who promised I'd always be his princess
