Nature Is My Creed

I loved the fresh mornings
And the long warm evenings
And the childhood happy days
Aching, with nostalgic yearnings

in the vine yard, gaily chanting
under moonlight cicadas chirping
and the glowworms, flaring, mating
between the river and the reeds

Those olden pathways, beating
Upward the rocky plains, hiking
To my sacred haven, heading
With light, joyous steps, striding

And when the mornings peeping
After a dark night, quitely sleeping
As the dormant lake now, awaking
Rippling gently, under dawn's breath

And the ocean awfully heaves
Splashing furious roars, it leaves
The water's ire, the fear it gives
Nature's wise words to heed

The rocky hard silence, speaks
The tender flower, grows betwixt
Through the narrow grove, it slips
Vivid, piecing between solid ribs

Still, i see what boy then i'd seen
Nature ever as faithful, as has been
To her rhyming rhythm, raging and placid
Thus, Nature's ways are my creed
