Come On, Let’s Go
We didn’t have an escape plan
You just grabbed my hand
And ran out of the hallway
Don’t care what they say anymore
We’re sliding across the floors
Pushing open the doors
She said let’s get out
I don’t hate this town
But it’s holding me down
We’ve been crying ourselves to sleep
every night
Can’t keep wishing on passing headlights
We really don’t want to die
There’s just something that we need to find
So we’re running all the red lights
Now it’s our turn to say goodbye
Trying to avoid their cold glares
I keep tripping on the stairs
They don’t care about us
Or our basic paper cuts
We’re running away so one day
They’ll know our names
Here we’re stuck
And coming undone
We can’t express ourselves
The way we want
They don’t like the language
Of our love
But we haven’t given up
You just grabbed my hand
And ran out of the hallway
Don’t care what they say anymore
We’re sliding across the floors
Pushing open the doors
She said let’s get out
I don’t hate this town
But it’s holding me down
We’ve been crying ourselves to sleep
every night
Can’t keep wishing on passing headlights
We really don’t want to die
There’s just something that we need to find
So we’re running all the red lights
Now it’s our turn to say goodbye
Trying to avoid their cold glares
I keep tripping on the stairs
They don’t care about us
Or our basic paper cuts
We’re running away so one day
They’ll know our names
Here we’re stuck
And coming undone
We can’t express ourselves
The way we want
They don’t like the language
Of our love
But we haven’t given up
