Row
The word row
I’m not even sure that’s the
correct spelling
It is.
It’s not the way you’d expect to
Pronounce it
I heard this word for the first time in
“A Little Princess” by Lucy
Everyone was awry
Go Lucy!
When they found out Sara was a princess, but Sara had been
A princess this whole time
In the beginning,
She was a princess,
She was a princess when her dad died and left her with nothing,
and she had to be beggar,
And she was a princess in the end
after all she endured
That word row really got to me
It made me think of you
My own little princess
Not polite or particularly princess-ey
September 9th
The day you left me
A row
I don’t want to watch
My darling b-a-b-y
I don’t ever want you to ever
See the truth
I kept you away from it
Your nightmare will not
Begin
Because
You’ve said time and time
Before
You don’t dream
And if you don’t dream
You don’t nightmare
My darling b-a-b-y
This story hit me
Cuz It’s about a girl
That overcomes
A row
I’m just fine
My darling b-a-b-y.
