ON THE VERGE
Part 4 of 6

"That feels so good. Don't stop."
Parker grinned. He removed his fingers and slowly licked them. She tasted heavenly. She had that morning when he had gone down on her and now again, she tasted wonderful.

"I said don't stop."

"I don't care what you want. Believe me I have wanted to date you for a long while, but you would not even look at me. I wish I could turn back time and not say the stupid things I said. I wish we hadn't had sex when you were drunk."

Ainsley was trying to think of a convenient answer but did not need to. The building superintendent greeted her as the doors opened. She made sure her skirt was not up around her hips. She was confused why he was there, but then noticed two things. The first was that the thick plush carpet was soggy and making squishy sounds as she walked into her office. The second was that there was a humid, mildew smell.

She glanced into her office and gasped.

"It's covered by insurance Ms. Bradley. The sprinkler system went off accidentally on the whole floor. There was no fire."

Ainsley did not hear a word he was saying. Her whole office was in ruins. She did not have insurance. She had stopped the payments the month before to pay the deposit on her apartment. She did the only thing of which she could think. She turned and hugged Parker, bursting into tears.

Ainsley sat in the passenger seat of Parker's car. Her eyes were red from crying. Parker was kneeling in front of her giving her tissues and trying to calm her down.

"Everything will be fine. I promise."

"No, it won't. My whole life was in there and now it is gone. The files for the next six weddings I am doing are gone. I do not have their contracts, the details of their weddings. I have nothing."

"Ainsley listen to me. You have a laptop right. I am sure you kept some of those files on there right. And right now, you have my sister's wedding to plan and I'm here to help you out."

Ainsley looked up from the ground and was met with Parker's look of concern. It was strange that a life-altering event like your business being flooded can cause someone's emotions to go full circle. Her shoulder still hurt from when he forcefully pushed her against the wall of the elevator, but now he was as gentle as a lamb.

"You're supposed to be arrogant and rude. You are not supposed to be this nice. I'm supposed to hate you."

"Who’s that? Seriously, Ainsley I want to know. Why do you need to hate me so much?"

Ainsley wiped her eyes one last time but did not answer the question.

"I'm going to go home and try to see what I have saved on my computer. Then I will call all the people involved in your sister's wedding. Hopefully, I can get all the information I need."

Parker watched as she walked slowly towards her car. Her shoulders were hunched over, and she was looking down at the ground. She was so different than before. It was like her self-esteem had been erased completely. Having your business flooded was a tragedy, but it was like this was her life. Parker waved as she drove past him, finally getting why she was so upset; her business was her life.

"I'm taking you out for dinner. You cannot say no. You don't have an option."

Ainsley looked up at Parker and forced a smile. Little silver boxes that had labels on them surrounded them. In big bags were hundreds of tree ornaments that needed to be placed in those boxes. Parker had finally found something that his sister had agreed was a good wedding gift for the guests. Each guest would receive two tree ornaments. One had the bride and groom's engagement photo along with the date and time. The other would have a photo of the guests, taken at the wedding and mailed to them afterwards.

"Fine."

Parker grinned. It was two days before the wedding, and he was happy to see she was close to getting back to normal. She had had what would be considered a small breakdown but had continued to plan the wedding like a professional. Now it was crunch time and he saw in her eyes the glimmer of joy and excitement. This was why she loved planning weddings.

"Don't get too excited."

Ainsley continued placing the delicate ornaments in the boxes but stuck her tongue out. Parker grinned.

"Let's go now. We can finish these tomorrow."

A few hours later, they were sitting in a small booth in the best pizza joint in town. They had shared a large pizza with everything, but anchovies and pineapple. Parker was allergic to fish and Ainsley believed pineapple to be a fruit and therefore should not be anywhere near a main course.

"So why did you want to become a wedding planner?"

"Do you want the long or the short answer?"

"We have time. Tell me the long version."

Ainsley looked into Parker's eyes and saw complete trust. She knew she could tell him everything.

"When I was seventeen, I was engaged to be married to a guy named Jason. He was a few years older than me, but we were perfect together. He proposed the night of my high school graduation. I spent my first year of college planning my wedding. I was taking business administration, so all my choice assignments had to do with the wedding industry. We got married on Christmas Eve. It was an amazing wedding. Two hundred guests. Everything was perfect. I loved the wedding planning part so much that the next morning I burst into tears realizing that I would never plan another wedding."

Ainsley looked up. She expected Parker to be smiling or making a funny face. Instead, he was sipping his coke while listening intently.

She continued.

"He was supposed to move into the city with me because I still had two more years of college. He decided not to move, and we were divorced by Valentine's Day. He had been having an affair with a friend of mine the whole time we were dating."

"I'm sorry." Parker reached out and squeezed her hand. This was painful for her to talk about, but for some reason he guesses that she had never told anyone these details before.

"So, I went back to school and finished up my degree. I loved planning weddings so much that I planned three weddings the summer between second and third year. By the time I graduated, I had started my own business. I never dated until last year when I met Cameron. I thought he was different. He was different. He was honest and caring and told me he loved me. We were supposed to get married, but he kept changing his mind. I caught him with his secretary when I came home from work."

"So being a bitch to any guy that shows an interest in you protects your sanity."

"Yeah. I am sick of getting hurt. I am like the perpetual bridesmaid who never gets married. I am through with dating, engagements, and weddings. I enjoy my work but am never going through that again myself."

"Sounds like a smart plan. Sort of like why I moved out of my parent's house and work at the hotel."

"What do you mean?" Ainsley sipped her coke and leaned closer to Parker. Their feet were touching.

"Want to hear my sob story?"

"Sure".

"My sister has always been the favorite. I was ignored all through high school. I went to university and took computer science but was told that I could only be a lawyer or an executive. I hate both careers. I have never had a meaningful relationship because every girl that I have dated has assumed that I will propose to her with a huge diamond ring and then allow her to sit at home and do nothing while I go to work. I do not have my parent's money and I never will. I work at the hotel because I want to. I don't want to be rich snobs like my parents."

"So why didn't you just say screw off when they told you had to help with the wedding."

Parker laughed and then frowned a bit. He was thinking of the best way to answer. "I love my sister very much and it's not her fault that she was raised to be the way she is. She did not want to go to Prague before the wedding, but Aaron tends to find beautiful, lonely women on his business trips. She asked me to help, and I could not say no."

"Oh." Ainsley glanced down at her watch for something to do. She saw it was almost eleven o'clock.

"Wow it's late. Can you drive me home?"

"Of course."

Ainsley fumbled with the keys to her apartment. She was having trouble concentrating and that was because Parker was grinding himself against her. She finally unlocked the door and flung it open. She pushed him inside and slammed the door, locking it quickly. Her purse, keys, and cell phone dropped to the ground, and she jumped into his arms.

Parker grabbed her and carried her to the nearest flat surface. The kitchen counter was clear, and he laid her back.

"You are way too good at flirting. You were driving me crazy all night."

Parker ran his hands down her body and began to undo her jeans. He slid them down her slender legs along with her pink satin panties. The moment they were off, he bent her legs back and began to lick her pussy. She was so wet that he licked up her juices first then sucked hard on her clit.

"Fuck! That feels good." Ainsley had sat up and was undoing her shirt and bra. She needed to be naked and needed it now. She threw her clothes on the ground then began pulling at his t-shirt. She watched as he fingered her with one hand while the other undid his jeans. She slid her legs down and nudged his jeans down his legs with her feet.

"You taste marvelous. Cum on my face baby."

Parker was stroking his thick member with one hand while the other was spreading her pussy lips. He would lick and then suck on her clit.

Then while wiggling his thumb against her hard nub he could lick her pussy in circles. No matter what he did, she responded with cries and moans.

Parker felt her legs tighten and her breathing became hard and fast.

He pushed his whole face into her pussy and held her hips tight. He bit gently down on her clit and felt as her pussy vibrated in an orgasm. He felt her try to push away, but he was stronger, holding her down so he could taste every drop of juice that was gushing out of her pussy.

Ainsley had a look of complete lust on her face. She did not say a word but pulled him up and kissed him. She did the most sensual thing in the world. She licked and sucked gently on his face, licking up the juices that glistened on his face. Once she was done, she grinned and rolled onto her back with her head hanging off the counter.

"Oh god baby you don't have to." Parker knew she wanted to suck his cock. He did not want to stop her but knew that most women did not like it. He gasped as she gripped his cock tight and guided it in her mouth. "Mumm." Parker held the counter for balance. Here he was completely naked with a beautiful woman who was deep throating his cock perfectly. Her legs were spread wide, and she was gently caressing her nipples. He was trying to hold back, but it was not working.

"I'm going to cum. Ainsley I'm going to cum!" Parker's voice was urgent. He tried pulling away, but she held on tight to his balls. He did not want to cum in her mouth, but she was not giving him much choice. "I'm close!" Parker gritted his teeth and almost had his orgasm under control when she rubbed the vein under his balls. That brought him to orgasm so quickly that he closed his eyes, dizzy from the sensations. He felt her swallow three times. Each time he knew she was swallowing a mouthful of his hot cum. He pulled back and moaned as she licked the tip.

"Was that O.K.?" Ainsley had spun around and was sitting up on the counter again. Parker still had his eyes closed and was trying to make the room stop spinning. He did not answer her. Instead, he took the few steps to her bed and fell. Ainsley giggled and followed him.

"I'm assuming that means yes."
