My deviant wants
The moon, it glares at me through the trees.
I fool myself into thinking
I'm the only one staring back.
Mesmerized by its illuminated obnoxiousness.
A wave of wants pass through me,
while my eyes remain in fixation.
If I could steal the lure of the oceans
that dragged seamen away from loving families
only to become lost forever.
If I could have the psychology of sea,
who can strip an ultimately stable man
of every cell of rationality, and
send the lunatic home where they'd blame the moon, then
and only then
I'd lure you to me with false offers.
I'd rape you of your will and make
you chain your heart to mine.
This beastly love would be my own creation,
void of all that's natural, but
my selfish wants would please me although
our love was just a deviant swindle.
