I Am Silk and Lace
His calloused hands
and muscled core are
like leather piercing
earth and sky,
always to take new lands.
I am silk and lace and
soft floral smells over
grassy wetlands.
I give the hug of a child
remembering her father.
My hands hold tight
to strong shoulders
smooth and young.
My palms are warm against skin.
My fingertips are
desperate to hold.
My hips lead my most
treasured parts toward earth
with hints of a coming dance.
I become light and wet,
hidden in his embrace.
