All this time you entrance us
with your beauty nighttime sky.
You leave so many questions,
sometimes hinting a reply.

Out in the middle of nowhere
we watch away from city lights
as you perform your magic,
yours a concert of delights.

We feel your power, raw energy,
flowing within our veins!
Nighttime sky we are subservient
as you shackle us in chains.

Let us join you!
You keep us begging!
We kneel on our knees.
You label us insignificant
as we are only a disease.

Still, we love you nighttime sky
as we worship your display.
Perhaps like a comet
your secrets we will know one day.

Till then we blaze a mighty trail
until at last our time must end.
