DATY - A Dining Experience review

Dining at the Y

That's such a lovely diner
You offer me the most succulent
Of your dishes
I have tasted your buns
I have sucked your milk
But noting tastes like this
I love the fragrant herbs you used
To scent your treat
There it is in front of me
I can wait no longer
I have to have a taste
I won't rush
Just nibble
Nibble on the edges
I use my fingers to open up
The package
Ah there it is
My table manners are horrendous
But I have to start to lick
This dish
It's juices flow so freely
I can hardly lap it all
There on top is just a lovely berry
Let me take a bite
Perhaps not bite but just a nibble
So juicy soft
I touch it with my finger
It speaks to me!
I hear it moaning
How is it possible for food to speak?
I hear it whisper softly
"The soup is getting thick,
Please take your sturdy pin
And stir it well"
As I write this food review
To rave about your food
You sneak up on me
And beg
Please come back soon
and dine on me
